More fun

It was a busy weekend!
We started off Friday night with our small group for a Christmas party. This will be our last time getting together with them regularly because Sam and I decided to start our own small group through our church. 2 couples are coming with from our current small group who we've grown close with, and it will be exciting to meet new couples who join. Our group always gets together like this every year and everyone brings with a dish or two to pass. We also do a white elephant gift exchange and always get a few good laughs out of that. Lauren decided she wasn't going to miss out on anything and stayed up almost the entire time we were there (happy as could be) and we didn't leave there until 11:30pm! She caught up on sleep during naps the next day and slept 13 hours on Saturday night. Crazy little partier!

What you lookin' at?

Don't be fooled - she really didn't seem to enjoy the peas this much!

Having fun in my exer-saucer!

On Saturday my sister in law and I got together for our annual cookie bake off. This is the 3rd year we have gotten together and baked a ton of Christmas cookies. It takes an entire day and we both look forward to it so much every year. This year we made peanut butter kiss, sugar, egg nog, and spritz cookies. Our coworkers, friends, family, and doctor's offices will be benefiting for sure.

I was so bummed we didn't take a picture of all the cookies finished! But you can see some in the oven in the first picture and some on top as well as on the counter. There were seriously soooo many when we were done!

After church today we joined Sam's parents and brother & family to celebrate his parents 40th wedding anniversary which took place last weekend. Clara and I made lunch and we just hung out all together at her home enjoying each other's company while eating lasagna, garlic bread, salad, and of course Christmas cookies.

I forgot to blog about last weekend when our friends from Milwaukee came to visit.
Julie and Chizila, their 6 month old Simon & Sara and Jim, and their 4 month old son Lukas stayed with us for a night. It was really fun to catch up and hang out as good friends and new parents. We enjoyed sharing gifts, dressing up the kids and just watching them interact, and went out for breakfast to our favorite place (Apple Villa) before they headed back home the next morning. Our friends are one of the things we miss most about living in Milwaukee.

We thought this picture of them was hilarious!
The three cuties!
