Sam took off Thursday and Friday and I took off Friday so we decided to spend some quality time as a family. We took Lauren to Goebbert's pumpkin farm (they opened one a little closer to our home) meeting up with her cousins Trevor and Jonathan. It was a windy afternoon but still so much fun. Highlights were seeing all the animals especially the camels, lion cubs, and giraffes. Other highlights included watching the pumpkin eating dinosaur, the pumpkin chunkin cannon, and sharing some yummy apple cider doughnuts & fudge.

Lauren wasn't so sure of the camel at first but then really started to like it!

Scary looking but Lauren really didn't seem too bothered... protected in daddy's arms.

I don't think I had ever gotten this close to a giraffe before.

The tiger cubs were very cute.
On Saturday we decided to take a trip to Brookfield Zoo. Her nana and opa gave us free tickets to go over the summer and we hadn't had the chance until now. This was Lauren's first time at the zoo and she loved it! We took her to the petting zoo portion and she couldn't get enough of the goats. Lauren got to brush them, pet them, and chase them around. They were so sweet and so relaxed! It was such a fun day and by the time nap time came around Lauren was pooped! I think we'll have to go again sometime soon.
