Everything fall!

It's been a while since I updated my blog but we've been having a lot of fun enjoying our favorite time of year! A couple of weeks ago we met Sam's parents up at the cabin for a weekend. The trees were turning such beautiful colors and the weather was crisp and cool. Despite the weather man forecasting rain the whole weekend we actually got some great weather and were able to enjoy being outside.

Our traditional yearly apple picking was replaced this year by buying a bag of apples, cider donuts, and taffy apples at Kuipers Farm. Unfortunately it's become too commercial for us over the years so we'll be seeking out some new places we've found for next year! Because of the early warm weather we had this year, apple picking was super limited everywhere, so we decided to keep it simple. We still had fun though and it was a beautiful fall day!

Learning about bees

One of our last things on our fall "to do list" was to go to the pumpkin farm! We started going to Goebbert's since they have a place near us in Hampshire. It's a super fun place to go and Lauren just loves all the animals they have there. We spoiled her with a pony ride (one of her new favorites) and purchased a cheap cup of carrots to feed the animals. We even got to feed a giraffe! A new highlight this year was a ride on the train. If you brought 2 non-perishable food items the day we went we got free rides! We all had lunch and Lauren got to help pick out pumpkins for her and Noah. It was a super cold but fun fall day!!!
