Big bed!

Lauren had been asking for a big bed for a couple of weeks so we took her to the mattress store and picked one out, bought some big girl sheets and pillows, and some rails for the sides. Her crib was one of those 3 step ones so we didn't have to buy a new bed and are very happy with the way it looks! She was so excited and has been so happy.
Today is a full week since she's been sleeping in her new bed and she's doing great! We tried the toddler bed about a year ago and the experience was not very good (blogged about that) so we were a little nervous. I would say she's actually been sleeping better  - longer naps and better at night/am. A couple of nightmares have popped up here and there but nothing like when she was potty training.
This milestone is one of the last big ones that we've had to complete and it makes me feel like she's growing up so fast. Such a strange sad but wonderful feeling at the same time.
