Catching up! It's a long one!

We finished off the spring on a busy note! Between our garage sale, a huge backyard landscaping re-do project, end of the preschool year, and trip to disney (more on a separate post).

We had a very successful garage sale the few days before mother's day getting rid of a ton of stuff! Including most of all our baby stuff. The weather was great and since we participated with the rest of our neighborhood it was fun for the kids to participate and walk around a bit browsing everyone else's stuff!

Ready to set out the next day!

Right after the garage sale/mother's day we started our landscaping project (well the company we hired did - Grant & Power). Our patio had started to deteriorate over the past few years and was becoming a safety hazard especially for the kids. So it was either take apart our current patio and re-put it back together... or we could choose a whole new design. We went with the latter and Sam had wanted to do some different things with our landscaping so we had them do that as well. The workers were troopers working through a lot of rain that first week but they did a great job and it turned out beautiful! The kids also had a great time watching them work and checking out all the machinery!

Lauren's year of preschool ended the end of May. She had an awesome year and learned so much! Her teacher was amazing and I think she's really missing school as we've caught her role playing a lot with Noah lately.

Since the weather has been nice we've spent a lot of time outside at various parks. One of our local favorites is Hawks Hallow (mentioned in a previous post). The kids especially love walking around in the little stream they have gathering rocks and tossing them back in.

Noah loves watching daddy mow the lawn and uses his little play mower to pretend he's doing exactly what daddy is doing, even turning and doing the same directionals daddy does.

Birthday parties have also been a frequent occurrence lately! It's fun picking out presents and who doesn't love cake?!
