The weather was sunny and 70's each day. We spent some time walking around and had lunch at Pumpkinfest - a local craft fair, shopped for groceries, and enjoyed the fall weather the first day. On Sunday I took an hour long walk with my sister-in-law (very therapeutic), we all took a boat ride (Lauren's first), and enjoyed more about being outside. It's always so relaxing up there. Bald eagles were out which we got some pictures of. We also saw some wild turkey on our walk. The colors were still nice but it was even better on our way home today as they became more vibrant on our drive south.
Our drive home took quite a while. Lauren started screaming 90 minutes into our drive and was "starving" so I did something I said I would never do and fed her in the car. There was no place to pull over since we just got on the highway and there weren't any exits for a while. The next stop we made it to lunch and all went well. Then about another 2 hours later while in stop and go traffic Sam and I heard not one...not 2, but 3 poop blowouts. We made it off the exit and she had leaked up the front of her diaper, out the side and onto her car seat. So... we cleaned her and the car seat off, fed her, and headed on our way. As we got off the highway near home she screamed that she was hungry again! Growth spurt? It took us almost 8 hours to do the normal 6 hour trip due to the stops and traffic we encountered. We weren't expecting it to be quick so it wasn't horrible but we were all tired.
Bath time and to bed it was for Lauren and hopefully a good night sleep is ahead for all of us!

Lauren's first boat ride. She loved the motion and the sound of the motor. She slept pretty much the whole time!
